| thanks ptis. however i think if i attempted a piece of this nature, i would have to stick with mario 3. i don't have a lot of experience with the others [apart from mario 1, 2, and a little of sunshine [and who the fuck would want to write about mario 2??]]. it's a good idea though - i only wish i had a nes in my house so i could referesh my memory with it. [i do have a draft of a piece about the preference a man has for either stevie nicks or christine mcvie which i shall finish soon.] |

Dude... You really have to borrow a Nintendo 64 and play yourself some Mario 64. It's so good it makes me want to cry.
Did anyone else read that article that posited the theory that mario games go Revolution -> Evolution -> Revolution -> Evolution.
Super Mario Bros - Revolution
Mario 3 - Evolution
Mario 64 - Revolution
Mario Sunshine - Evolution
???? - REVOLUTION??? |

Hey, I posted an article that said that last year.
Also, I just said - it's called Super Mario Galaxy. And it looks fucking awesome. I can post screenshots if anyone's interested. Have I mentioned that I'm officially gaming press? Yeaaaaaaaaaaaah.
Serious. Both o' you. Do it. Even an article on Mario 3 would be great, and I can guarantee you'd get people reading it. People love retrospectives - which reminds me, I must finish my Bubble Bobble piece one of these days.
I like Mario 2, by the way, but that might be related to my Princess Peach fetish. |

I'd need a copy here to refresh my memory on it...
I wouldn't feel right writing about a game I haven't played in years. |

| Jesus, John. You must be about the only person on the Infernet without a NES emulator. |

...I want my computer to get to freakin' Brisbane... I want to put my new freakin' video card in it... I want to get acceptable freakin' framerates out of Oblivion finally... I want to not have freakin' Oblivion withdrawal... then I can putter around on my freakin' emulators, as I'm feeling a bit of a need to replay classic freakin' console games after reading about them... _________________ EATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDINGEATTHEPUDDING |

Incidentally, my video card situation is not good. This computer simply will not accept one, which means I'm back to playing Gunbound instead of anything more graphically challenging.
As long as I can play the new Sam and Max though... |

| Well, I could download a NES emulator, but I'm not going to download an N64 emulator to play Mario 64. That would be sacrilege on anything other than a true N64 controller. |

In amongst all that, there floats a comment about Stevie Nicks. I just find that funny.
Personally, I can't stand Fleetwood Mac. I am a fairly patient person. But just because my Mum likes listening to it when she's drunk, doesn't mean it's WORTHY of nostalgia.
I hate that stupid album cover, I hate THAT waist coat and Stevie swanning about like a waif trapped at a wispy convention.
Only problem is, even without Fleetwood Mac, I somehow also do bad Stevie Nicks dancing when drunk. Turns out you can't fight genetics, people. |
