You People Make Me Freaking Sick

So, who can tell me what this is? If you said “worryingly detailed cardboard model of the Wii”, by God, you’d be right. Yep, DocCPR, best known for doing this crazy shit, is selling “the actual models” he made for the purpose of putting next to literally a hundred household objects.

Over 6 hours of work has been put into the making of this cardboard model! Needless to say, the winning bidder will get a very convincing model of the Wii once positioned next to their entertainment center.

That is fucking astounding. Part of me, when I first read about this, thought, maybe, just maybe, no one would bid on this. How wrong I was - thus the headline. With around 11 hours left (get on to it, kids!) the white Wii is going for US$46, and the black is coming in second at only US$40. I am really at a loss here. I just can’t imagine why anyone would be spending that much money on something made of paper. I don’t want to trash the work of DocCPR, but it’s not actually even terribly convincing.

But really, by the time these things go, they’ll be at US$50, at least. You could buy a game with that much. Or, you could wait two or three months, and just buy a real fucking Wii.
